FG Virginis (FG Vir) is the best studied delta Scuti pulsator using ground-based multisite observations. They were able to detect more than 75 pulsating frequencies.

V = 6.56 mag
dnu = [5, 45] d-1 = [57, 637] muHz 

Mittermayer & Weiss (2003)- Measurements:
    log g = 3.9±0.3
    log T = 3.8706 (7425+/-200 K)
    vsini = 21.3 +/- 1 km/s
    i = 31º +/- 5º (Mantegazza et al. 1994)
    (v = 45 km/s)
    v = 33 +/- 2 km/s (Viskum et al. 1998)

Breger et al. (1995; 1999) - Modelling:
   M = 1.85 Msun
   X = 0.7
   Z = 0.02

Compiling and running Gyre:

- Compile Gyre within MESA (export GYRE_DIR=$MESA_DIR/gyre/gyre or setenv GYRE_DIR $MESA_DIR/gyre/gyre):
  cd $GYRE_DIR
  make

- Run MESA with the option:
 &star_job
  ! write output
      save_pulsation_info_when_terminate = .true.
      save_pulsation_info_filename = ‘FGVir.mesa'
 &controls
      pulse_info_format = ‘GYRE' ! e.g., 'FGONG', 'OSC', ‘GYRE'

-Create and edit .in file (see template) in a new directory and copy .GYRE file from MESA

-Run Gyre within that directory: $GYRE_DIR/bin/gyre_nad FGVir.in
